The Gearbox GB3K 170 Teardrop Racquetball Racquet is part of the 2022 Gearbox Racquetball family that features Gearbox’s strongest, more powerful racquets yet! All the major technologies introduced in prior series that were so successful have carried over into this years’ version.
This is the 170 gram version in the teardrop head shape. At 170 grams it is a solid middleweight (and our most popular weight), while the teardrop shape gives you the largest vertical sweet spot. 170 gram racquets tend to be popular with players using any swing style, as you can snap it fast if you want to, but won’t lose power if you end up swinging it more slowly.
What is Gearbox GB3K?
The GB3K name originates from the 3K Woven Carbon Fiber found at the head of the racquet. The use of this special carbon fiber material reduces unwanted vibration in the hand, giving the GB3K collection a smoother, more solid feel. The 3K Woven Carbon Fiber also enhances the frame’s strength and overall durability. The GB3K racquets also feature a redesigned throat lay-up, providing an ideal balance of stiffness and flex resulting in what Gearbox claims to be their most powerful racquet to date.
